This study aims to analyze strategies for managing student conflicts at SMPIT Nurul Qur’an, Karawang Regency, by examining the types of conflicts, their causes, processes, impacts, and resolution strategies. The research employed a descriptive qualitative method with data collection techniques that included observation, interviews, and documentation involving students, teachers, and school administrators. The findings indicate that the most dominant type of conflict is internal role conflict, which arises within students due to imbalances between academic demands, boarding school activities, and personal needs. This conflict is further exacerbated by the intense schedule of boarding school activities, which often leads to lack of sleep, fatigue, and a tendency to violate school rules. The impact of these conflicts is significant, including difficulties in understanding lessons, the risk of repeating a grade, increased tendencies to cheat, low self-confidence, and declining academic performance. These conditions highlight the importance of systematic efforts to manage conflicts in order to prevent long-term negative effects on students’ academic and psychological development. The strategies implemented by the school in managing conflicts involve several key measures. First, establishing clear rules and regulations to provide certainty for students. Second, issuing warnings as a preventive and corrective measure. Third, creating a positive learning environment that makes students feel comfortable and motivated. Fourth, providing social and emotional support from both teachers and peers. Fifth, offering guidance on compliance with rules and fostering self-awareness among students. These findings imply that managing student conflicts should not only rely on school regulations but also require a holistic approach that incorporates emotional, social, and psychological aspects. Thus, effective conflict management strategies can enhance learning quality while shaping students’ discipline and resilience.
