In modern library management, whether in public, academic, special, or digital libraries, the availability of accurate, organized, and structured information systems plays a crucial role in supporting educational activities, research, and knowledge development. This study employs a literature review method, which involves identifying, evaluating, and interpreting findings from relevant previous studies related to cataloging and subject analysis in libraries. Cataloging serves several essential purposes, including providing effective access to library materials by enabling users to search collections through various access points such as author names, titles, subjects, and classification numbers. The advancement of information technology has significantly transformed cataloging practices, particularly through the implementation of library automation systems and digital metadata standards. Library management applications such as Slims, Koha, and INLIS Lite, together with metadata standards including MARC 21 and Dublin Core, support more efficient information organization and retrieval processes. These technologies help libraries remain relevant, accessible & responsive the evolving information needs of users in the digital era.
