Marine debris has become an increasing environmental issue in coastal areas and significantly affects marine ecosystems and community livelihoods. Kollosoha Village, located in Tomia District, Wakatobi Regency, is a coastal area with high marine resource potential, yet it faces challenges related to inadequate waste management. This community service program aims to strengthen coastal community awareness regarding sustainable marine waste management. The program applied an educational and participatory approach through socialization activities, waste management training, and environmental actions such as coastal clean-up programs. The results indicate an improvement in community knowledge and awareness about the impacts of marine debris and the importance of environmentally friendly waste management practices. In addition, community members have begun to implement waste sorting and actively participate in maintaining coastal environmental cleanliness. This initiative is expected to serve as an initial step toward fostering environmentally responsible behavior among coastal communities and supporting sustainable marine waste management in coastal regions.
