Keywords:

This study aims to analyze government policies in promoting the development of Islamic economics as part of the national economic development strategy. Islamic economics has significant potential to enhance financial inclusion, strengthen the real sector, and promote equitable welfare distribution. This research employs a qualitative approach using library research and policy analysis of regulations, official government documents, and relevant academic literature. The findings indicate that the government plays roles as regulator, facilitator, and accelerator through strengthening Islamic banking regulations, developing the halal industry, optimizing zakat and productive waqf, and issuing Islamic financial instruments such as sovereign sukuk. Furthermore, the establishment of dedicated institutions and coordination among financial authorities has strengthened the national Islamic economic ecosystem. However, challenges remain, including low Islamic financial literacy, limited cross-sector policy integration, and its relatively modest contribution to Gross Domestic Product, more integrative, innovative, and sustainable policy strategies are required to ensure that Islamic economics significantly contributes to national development.
